Please note this is a regional role, and the successful candidate will support specific services in a designated area around the UK. Therefore, it is essential that you have a UK Driving Licence. Due to locality, there may also be the need for overnight stays.
The main function of the role is to be deployed into a service that requires care support to achieve quality-focused outcomes, such as coaching staff on best care practices, writing and evaluating person-centred care plans, and supporting the management of individual care needs.
About You:
* Senior Care Assistant/Level 3 qualified
* Experience of working in a Care Home setting is essential
* A practical, 'hands-on' approach – working on the floor, guiding, coaching, and training staff
* Sound knowledge of regulatory standards, statutory requirements in a care home setting, and improvement methods, with the ability to guide, coach, and practically empower services to implement change
* Experience in conducting checks on care plan completion & staff observation – adopting the principle of showing the person, watching the person complete, and providing feedback
Skills Required:
* Experienced in supporting/developing care teams
* Strong organisational skills
* Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal
* Experience of developing links with healthcare professionals and external organisations
* An ability to work flexibly to the needs of the service and organisation
