Robert Half is partnering with a leading Financial Services PLC to appoint an Interim Year-End Financial Accountant to support a busy year-end period and drive the delivery of consolidated group reporting.
The Opportunity
Working closely with the Group Financial Controller and senior finance leadership team, you'll play a crucial role in preparing, reviewing and delivering year-end outputs across the group. You'll also act as a key contact for both internal stakeholders and external auditors, ensuring deadlines are met and reporting is accurate.
Key Responsibilities
Lead the preparation of the year-end pack, ensuring accuracy, compliance and timely delivery.
Own group consolidation processes, including review of entity submissions and preparation of consolidated results.
Manage audit liaison, coordinating with external auditors, responding to queries, providing supporting schedules and ensuring a smooth audit process.
Prepare statutory accounting schedules, technical papers and supporting documentation for year-end.
Review and strengthen financial controls, identifying improvements for future reporting cycles.
Work cross-functionally to gather information required for disclosure notes, balance sheet reconciliations and key financial statements.
Support senior finance leadership with ad-hoc financial reporting and project work as required.
Who We're Looking For
You'll be a qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA) with strong experience in:
Year-end close and financial reporting
Group consolidation within complex structures
Statutory accounts preparation (IFRS/FRS102 exposure beneficial)
Audit management / audit prep
Fast-paced PLC, FS or highly regulated environments
