Laminator – Prepreg Composites (Junior / Entry–Mid Level) Temp to Perm | Site-Based | Middlesex An established manufacturing business is seeking a Junior / Entry–Mid Level Prepreg Laminator to support ongoing production programmes. This is a hands-on, site-based role working within a controlled clean-room environment on high-quality aerospace components. This position is well suited to candidates with practical manufacturing experience (e.g. brake press, sheet metal, CNC, composites, or similar precision environments) who are looking to develop their skills within composite prepreg laminating. Full training and progression will be provided. Key Responsibilities * Support the hand lay-up of carbon fibre and glass fibre prepreg materials in a clean-room environment * Work from engineering drawings, ply books, lay-up schedules, and work instructions with guidance * Cut, orient, and place prepreg plies following fibre orientation and laminate build requirements * Assist with vacuum bagging operations, including use of release films, breather, bleeder, and vacuum lines * Prepare tools and moulds, including cleaning and application of release agents to approved procedures * Support autoclave loading and unloading activities, ensuring correct paperwork and traceability * Carry out basic in-process checks to ensure work meets quality standards * Follow material handling procedures, including freezer storage and out-life control * Maintain clean-room discipline, FOD prevention, and health & safety requirements * Contribute to team improvements focused on quality, efficiency, and best practice Essential Skills & Experience * Previous hands-on manufacturing experience (e.g. brake press, sheet metal, composites, CNC, aerospace, or similar) * Some experience or exposure to composites, laminating, or precision assembly is advantageous * Ability to follow drawings, work instructions, and process documentation * Good manual dexterity and attention to detail * Willingness to learn new skills and work to aerospace quality standards Desirable (Not Essential) * Previous experience with prepreg materials, vacuum bagging, or clean-room environments * Aerospace or regulated manufacturing background Personal Attributes * Reliable, methodical, and quality-focused * Positive attitude with a willingness to learn and develop * Able to work as part of a team and follow processes * Good communication skills
