My client designs and delivers fire services to commercial and domestic clients. They are looking for a Senior Mechanical Design Engineer to join their team in Manchester on a permanent basis.
The Fire & Security Engineer will ideally have the following attributes:
* NVQ / HNC / HND / BTEC / Degree qualified or similar, ideally in Mechanical Engineering
* At least 5 years’ experience in a similar role preferred
* 3D CAD Design experience in the fire industry
* Mechanical / electrical installation experience beneficial
* Hands-on, practical engineer
* Excellent communication and customer service skills
* Team player with a positive attitude
* Mentor to junior/graduate engineers
* Full UK driving licence
The Fire & Security Engineer role will involve:
* Servicing, installation, and maintenance of fire and security systems
* Mechanical fault-finding and repairs
* Working within a small team to deliver quality service
* Traveling to and from customer sites (~2 hours daily)
* Occasional travel within the UK, e.g., Scotland or Wales
