Sport Welfare Project Officer
Contract: Fixed term until March 2027
Hours: 30-37.5 hours per week (flexible working options available)
Location: Home-based with national travel

About the role:
Active Partnerships seeks a Sport Welfare Project Officer to enhance the national coordination of a key safeguarding and culture change initiative in sport. This fixed-term role involves practical support, insight, and collaboration to improve safeguarding and welfare in grassroots sport.
The successful candidate will support a network of 63 Sport Welfare Officers across the country, providing tools, support, and fostering relationships to enable their success. Responsibilities include gathering insights, supporting daily operations, developing inclusive resources, and contributing to cultural change in sport.

Key Responsibilities:
* Collaborate with the central team to deliver the Sport Welfare Officer Programme effectively.
* Build positive relationships with stakeholders, including Sport England, CPSU, and ACT, fostering trust and collaboration.
* Review evaluations, extract insights, and inform future activities.
* Prepare internal reports to aid understanding of programme effectiveness.
* Coordinate project activities, including meetings and events.
* Assist with large-scale events and communications, ensuring inclusivity and practicality.
* Support the development of tools, templates, and guidance for safeguarding practices.
* Maintain effective administration and communication to support team tasks.
* Occasionally travel to regional and national events to connect with the network and support in-person activities.
Knowledge and Skills:
* Strong interpersonal skills for building rapport and effective communication.
* Excellent organization and time management, especially in remote settings.
* Openness to collaboration and diverse perspectives.
* Clear written communication tailored to different audiences.
* Ability to analyze feedback for insights to inform decision-making.
* Basic understanding of safeguarding, welfare, and wellbeing principles.
* Proficiency with digital tools such as email, video conferencing, and shared documents.
* Self-motivated, proactive, and capable of working independently.

Work Environment and Support:
* Home-based with regular online meetings.
* Travel approximately 1-2 times per month for regional or national events.
* Overnight stays 3-4 times annually for national days.
