School Kitchen Manager Key Responsibilities: Oversee the preparation, cooking, and serving of meals (up to 300 meals per day) Plan menus and order food and supplies in line with budget and school policies Responsible for working with specific dietary requirements and food allergies Manage kitchen staff, including training, rotas, and performance Maintain high standards of food hygiene, health and safety, and cleanliness Keep accurate records of stock, cash handling, and kitchen operations Work closely with the School Business Manager and Headteacher to ensure smooth running of the catering service What We're Looking For: Experience managing a kitchen or catering operation Strong leadership and communication skills Knowledge of food safety and hygiene regulations (Level 2 or 3 Food Hygiene Certificate preferred) Preferably a Level 3 First Aid qualification Organised, reliable, and able to work under pressure Experience of budgeting This is a fantastic opportunity to make a real difference in our school community by leading a valued service that supports student wellbeing.
