Job Purpose: Construction Project Manager will manage relationships with external partners to deliver our New Centre Openings (NCO) and refurbishment programmes on time, within budget, and in line with our design standards.
Key Responsibilities
* Programme manage the end‑to‑end process of delivery in conjunction with our outsourced partners, ensuring clarity on expectations, deadlines, and timely escalation of issues and risks.
* Have full accountability for scope, programme, and cost.
* Ensure partners manage fit‑out in line with our global design and build standards.
* Plan and manage refurbishment and maintenance of our existing estate, prioritising ROI and minimizing disruption to customers.
* Effectively manage internal and external stakeholders, prioritising work in line with business needs and robustly monitoring supplier performance.
* Leverage a strong network of contacts to partner with the right suppliers.
Key Measures of Success
* Execute assigned projects within agreed costs, timelines, and IWG specifications.
* Enhance the supply‑chain setup to meet local market price, practice, and standards.
* Provide training to new and existing vendors on IWG Design & Construction guidelines.
Required Skills, Experience & Qualifications
* Significant project/programme management experience in a fast‑paced environment such as retail, retail banking, hotels, or professional consultancy.
* Experience managing multiple openings under tight timescales and budgets.
* Proactive problem‑solving and customer‑first approach.
* Commercially minded, results‑focused, with a track record of cost reduction while improving standardisation.
* High drive with strong attention to detail and ability to operate in ambiguous, changing environments.
* Strong resilience and ability to stay focused on the big picture.
* Desirable: experience of refurbishment and maintenance management.
* Ability to influence stakeholders across countries and cultures.
* Experience selecting and managing preferred partners for large Design and Build programmes through competitive tendering.
