We are a company who has grown from a small family business to become a leading drink dispense gas supplier, with premises in Brynsadler near Pontyclun and Bristol. Our company culture is friendly, and we have plans for further expansion in 2024 and beyond.
If you join us as a driver, you will earn £600 per week (£31,200 p.a) for a 40 hour week*, not including breaks.
As the driver, you will be delivering bottled gas to public houses, restaurants and industrial sites. You will deliver within South Wales, Gloucester and Swindon areas. Responsibilities will include: -
* Driving vehicles including transit sized vans, 7.5 ton and 12 ton lorries and possibly larger vehicles.
* Keeping your vehicle clean.
* Handling money and creating invoices at point of sale.
* Lifting of gas bottles into and out of customer premises.
* Interacting with customers.
* You may be required to assist with other tasks other than delivering, e.g Filling gas bottles, helping around our yard etc.
To apply for the driver position with us, you will need: -
* A minimum of a category C licence
* A Current Driver CPC.
* No more than 3 points on your licence.
* Category C + E Licence would be an advantage but not essential. ( Highrer rates are paid for any Class 1 work).
* Good literacy, numeracy and people skills.
* The ability to undertake some heavy lifting **.
* ADR ( Core, packages & Gases) would be an advantage but not essential.
* A reasonable knowledge of the delivery areas.
*You will typically work a 40-hour week Monday to Friday; there may be some requirement to work weekends and bank holidays. You will receive a total of 28 holidays per annum including bank holidays.
** Some gas bottles are heavy and awkward to move. All tools to move the bottles will be provided, such as trolleys, ropes and tail-lift on the lorries, but there is a requirement for regular heavy lifting. Full training will be given.
