Quality Engineer – Specialist Machinery Manufacturer Location: Blackburn Salary: £40,000 - £45,000 benefits Industry: Manufacturing – Specialist Machinery Are you a highly skilled Quality Engineer with a passion for ensuring the highest standards in manufacturing? We’re working with a leading specialist machinery manufacturer that’s looking for an experienced Quality Engineer to join their team. This is an exciting opportunity to work within a fast-paced engineering environment, collaborating with engineering and production teams to ensure the seamless delivery of high-quality products. You’ll be involved throughout the entire product lifecycle, from design stage through to final assembly and delivery. Key Responsibilities: * Work closely with the engineering and production teams to ensure product quality from design through to final assembly. * Ensure that all manufacturing processes and procedures meet company and industry standards. * Lead quality assurance activities, performing inspections and audits to identify issues and ensuring corrective actions are taken. * Troubleshoot and resolve quality problems during the assembly and production processes. * Implement and drive improvements to manufacturing and assembly processes to enhance efficiency and quality. * Support the development and maintenance of the company’s quality management systems (QMS). * Collaborate with design engineers to address any design-related quality concerns and suggest improvements to enhance manufacturability and quality. * Assist with product testing, documentation, and ensure products meet both customer and regulatory specifications. Requirements: * Proven experience as a Quality Engineer in a manufacturing environment, ideally in machinery or similar technical industries. * Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to identify issues and implement effective solutions in a timely manner. * Solid understanding of quality management systems (QMS) and experience with process improvement methodologies. * Experience with product lifecycle management from design to production, including assembly processes. * Strong communication skills to collaborate with engineering and production teams effectively. * Knowledge of ISO standards and quality control techniques. * Proficient in using quality inspection tools and software. Desirable: * Previous experience in a machinery manufacturing setting is highly beneficial. * Experience with Lean, Six Sigma, or other process improvement methodologies.
