Description
We are seeking a dedicated Bookkeeper to join our Macclesfield office. You will play a key role in delivering high‑quality bookkeeping services to a range of clients, supporting their day‑to‑day financial operations. This role includes working with Making Tax Digital (MTD) and utilising a range of cloud‑based accounting software.
Key Responsibilities
* Manage day‑to‑day bookkeeping for a portfolio of clients
* Prepare and submit VAT returns, including MTD requirements
* Maintain accurate financial records and ensure timely delivery of work
* Support clients with queries via phone and email, providing excellent service
* Use accounting software such as Xero, Sage, and QuickBooks to process financial data
Key Requirements
* AAT qualified, part‑qualified accountant, or QBE
* Strong bookkeeping experience including VAT returns
Additional Requirements
* Good communication skills with the ability to liaise effectively with clients and colleagues
* Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
* Good IT skills, particularly Excel
* Experience with Xero is advantageous.
