* PAYE: £30.50 per hour

----------------------------------- About the Role Network Recruitment Wales is recruiting a Qualified Social Worker (Grade I) to join Carmarthenshire County Council’s Children’s Services on a 12-week temporary basis. This role has arisen to cover a vacancy due to secondment and offers an excellent opportunity to contribute to safeguarding and supporting children and families within a well-established local authority team.
S47 (Section 47) training is required for this role.
----------------------------------- What You’ll Do
* Undertake statutory social work duties in line with the Social Services and Well-being (Wales) Act.
* Complete high-quality assessments, care planning, and interventions to safeguard children and promote positive outcomes.
* Manage a caseload effectively, ensuring timely decision-making and accurate record keeping.
* Prepare reports and attend relevant meetings, including child protection conferences and court proceedings when required.
* Work collaboratively with children, families, carers, and multi-agency partners.
* Ensure compliance with safeguarding procedures, policies, and best practice standards.
----------------------------------- What We’re Looking For
* A qualified Social Worker with a recognised professional qualification (Diploma in Social Work, BA/BSc/MA in Social Work, or CQSW).
* Registration with Social Care Wales (or equivalent UK registration).
* S47 training (essential).
* Strong assessment, report-writing, and communication skills.
* Experience working within Children’s Services, including safeguarding and child protection.
* Ability to work independently while contributing positively to a team environment.

* Eligibility to work in the UK.
* Enhanced DBS check.
* Criminal Convictions Declaration.
* Professional qualification in Social Work (essential).
* CV and proof of qualifications.
* Photo ID.
* Signed Confidentiality Agreement.
* Health Declaration/Questionnaire.
* A minimum of 5 years’ work history/references.
