Your role:
The Construction Lead UK&Ireland will be responsible for a team of Construction Project Managers. While each department's scope is limited to its specific function, the Construction Lead's duty is to gather information and integrate it into the project phases from design through realization and commissioning.
Main responsibilities:
1. Coordinate and lead the Project Managers (2 internal team members + external local consultants) in the UK & Ireland Region for EssilorLuxottica brands, including David Clulow, Sunglass-Hut, Ray-Ban, Oakley, Vision Express, John Lewis Opticians. The total retail network exceeds 700 stores.
2. Oversee planning, detailed design, and construction engineering for Luxottica Brands Retail Stores in the UK & Ireland.
3. Undertake construction engineering design on new and remodel projects with support from local consultants.
4. Select local consultants and permit expeditors from the corporate vendor list of the Luxottica procurement department.
5. Manage relations with Local Authorities, Malls, Airports, Outlet centers, and Department stores involved in projects.
6. Prepare reports, specifications, and technical analyses to define design requirements, equipment, and services.
7. Provide technical direction on engineering design, building layouts, build details, schedules, and materials.
8. Define project scope, goals, and deliverables; create schedules and timelines; assign tasks and resources.
9. Manage budgets, allocate resources, and collaborate with designers, R&D managers, consultants, and stakeholders.
10. Lead quality assurance efforts.
11. Monitor and report project progress, track deliverables.
12. Communicate progress, issues, and solutions with stakeholders.
13. Implement process changes as needed to meet updated outputs.
14. Evaluate and assess project results.
Main requirements:
1. Deliver Retail Stores on time, within budget, and with quality standards.
2. Evaluate and control construction budgets and timelines.
3. Ensure quality of store execution and snag clearance post-opening.
4. Effectively communicate construction constraints and achievements to markets and stakeholders.
5. Network of interaction: Internal: Construction, Property-Real Estate, Logistics, Procurement, Planning, Finance, Administration. External: General Contractors, Local Consultants, Permit Expeditors, Material Suppliers, Landlord representatives.
