Job description
Overall Job Purpose:
To be responsible for delivering, maintaining, and supporting technology across the four Midlands Cluster schools and Central Support Services. Managing the staff within the ICT team, including their activity, performance, and development. Ensuring that technology effectively supports the raising of educational standards across the Trust.
Key responsibilities:
* Manage the performance of ICT Service staff across the four Midlands Cluster schools, overseeing deployment, skillset, capacity, and development needs.
* Support, maintain, and develop all IT hardware and software resources used by the schools.
* Liaise with each school's Senior Leadership Team to support and deliver their Digital Strategy.
* Manage the Helpdesk, ensuring requests are handled efficiently and effectively, balancing operational and strategic priorities.
* Provide strategic guidance on developing technology systems to support educational aims. Design and implement new systems to ensure affordability and suitability.
* Manage IT operational and capital budgets in line with financial processes.
* Maintain accurate hardware and software registers, including licenses and renewal dates, to inform budget planning.
* Develop and maintain system documentation, including network and server topography, to support development, disaster recovery, and business continuity.
* Implement effective backup strategies to meet legal and operational requirements.
* Develop and implement IT policies as needed.
