CPFT is offering an opportunity to join the CAMHS Crisis Team, supporting children and young people in crisis.
Our goal is to provide multi-skilled team support to families and young people through short-term, recovery-focused interventions. We seek passionate, dynamic, and skilled practitioners ready for a new challenge to enhance children’s experiences. The team will include experienced clinical leaders working alongside support staff to deliver planned care episodes and ensure young people access appropriate support.

Main duties of the job
This system-wide service collaborates across sectors including social care and education to share and understand the mental health needs of children and young people, and to jointly agree on risk management plans.
CAMHS Crisis Care Practitioners conduct brief clinical risk and mental health assessments, formulate care plans, and develop short-term contingency plans for children and young people in mental health crisis. They provide short-term, intensive mental health interventions for those with complex needs.
You will work collaboratively with other mental health services, hospitals, emergency services, education, and social care to assess risk and mental health, and to plan interventions for children and young people in crisis.
