Overview
Based at Colten House, Ringwood BH24 3FE. Salary: £28,000 per annum. 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 8.30am – 5:00pm.
We are looking for a dedicated Payroll & Roster Administrator to join our team at our Office in Ringwood (BH24 3FE). This role is ideal for a detail-oriented professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is passionate about efficient scheduling and resource management.
Responsibilities
 * Create, maintain, and update employee rosters, ensuring accuracy, fairness, and compliance with company policies.
 * Monitor staff attendance and availability, adjust rosters as necessary, and collaborate with department heads to ensure adequate shift coverage.
 * Track shifts, overtime, and leave requests while maintaining up-to-date attendance records.
 * Process the organisation\'s payroll in a timely and accurate manner every week, extracting information from the roster system.
 * Create and maintain employee payroll records, calculate wages and deductions based on attendance records, issue checks and earnings summaries, and create and run payroll reports.
 * Work closely with managers and supervisors to resolve roster and payroll discrepancies, handle queries internally and externally, and ensure payroll data aligns with scheduling records.
 * Keep up-to-date with company tax obligations, employee contributions, and application of company benefits, annual leave and other absences.
Qualifications
 * Previous experience in payroll, roster administration, scheduling or workforce management.
 * Strong organisation and time management skills with keen attention to detail and excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
 * Ability to handle confidential information with discretion, work under pressure, and adapt to changing operational needs with a proactive approach to problem-solving.
 * Good working knowledge of MS Office, especially Excel, and understanding of payroll software.
 * Experience in healthcare or hospitality, data analysis skills, and the ability to manage priorities and meet deadlines would be beneficial.
