Contract: FTC for up to a year to cover maternity
The Burgess Hill Academy boasts excellent sports facilities, including expansive playing fields, a state-of-the-art 3G pitch, six tennis courts, a fully equipped sports hall, a gym, and a fitness suite. At Key Stage 3, we dedicate one period per fortnight to our Life curriculum, offering students opportunities beyond the national curriculum to explore alternative PE activities, health, wellbeing and personal development. At Key Stage 4, we offer both the Cambridge National in Sports Studies and AQA GCSE PE, ensuring students have a strong foundation for further study or careers in sport.
Beyond lessons, we provide a wide range of extra-curricular clubs, including football, rugby, basketball, cricket, athletics, and netball. We are committed to offering as many opportunities as possible for students to participate in sport outside of lessons, with regular fixtures and tournaments that help foster a competitive and inclusive sporting environment.
