Location: Central Bedfordshire College – Dunstable Kingsway Campus
Salary: £33,048 – £38,169 per annum (Pro‑Rata), dependent on experience and qualifications.
Hours: 30 hours per week – 52 weeks per year.
Contract: Permanent – Part Time.

About The Role
We are seeking a Lecturer in Early Years to join the Health, Social Care and Childcare department at Central Bedfordshire College.
Responsibilities
* Deliver high‑quality teaching across Early Years, Primary Education and Health & Social Care programmes, supporting learners to achieve and progress into further study or employment.
* Develop up‑to‑date schemes of work and engaging learning materials, contributing to innovative teaching practices aligned to awarding body standards.
* Assess, verify and track learner progress, providing timely feedback and contributing to internal quality assurance and continuous improvement processes.
* Build and maintain employer relationships, coordinate and monitor placements, and enhance learning through vocational opportunities and enrichment activities.
* Work collaboratively across teams, complete administrative duties accurately, and uphold safeguarding, EDI, health & safety and CPD responsibilities while supporting departmental KPIs.
Qualifications and Experience
* Level 4+ qualification in Early Years with relevant sector experience.
* Supported by GCSE English and maths and commitment to achieving a teaching qualification.
* Proven ability to deliver high‑quality teaching across a range of learners, with strong skills in lesson planning, progress tracking and behaviour management.
* Up‑to‑date knowledge of Early Years developments and experience working alongside employers to enhance vocational learning and real‑world application.

* Strong communication, IT (Microsoft Office/Teams) and interpersonal skills, engaging stakeholders effectively.
