Are you an experienced Workshop Controller specialising in Commercial vehicles seeking a new opportunity?
Our client, a well-established commercial vehicle service centre based in Preston, is looking for a dedicated Workshop Controller to join their busy team. This role offers a competitive basic salary starting at £40,000 per year plus the potential to earn bonuses, alongside a company vehicle.
Benefits:

3. Opportunity to work within an established 18-bay workshop
4. Standard working hours of 8am to 6pm, Monday to Friday
5. Saturday rota from 8am to 12pm offering optional weekend work
Duties:
6. Oversee daily workshop operations and ensure efficient workflow
7. Coordinate and supervise the servicing and repair of commercial vehicles, specialising in light commercial vehicles (LCV) and heavy goods vehicles (HGV)
8. Manage a team of technicians and service advisers to meet customer expectations
9. Ensure the highest standards of customer service and technician output are maintained
10. Maintain high levels of health and safety compliance within the workshop
11. Effectively handle customer enquiries and facilitate communication between the workshop and clients
Requirements:
12. Proven experience as a Workshop Controller within a commercial vehicle environment
13. Strong understanding of LCV and HGV servicing and repair processes
14. Excellent leadership and organisational skills
15. Ability to motivate and manage a team effectively
16. Good communication skills and a customer-focused attitude
