One of the UK’s leading charities is seeking an experienced Finance Business Partner to join their team on a nine-month contract. This is a critical role overseeing the financial management of group of entities, with ownership of their largest and most complex entities.
Key Responsibilities:
* Manage the month-end reporting and consolidation process across the group
* Provide proactive financial business partnering to department heads and budget holders
* Motivate and manage a team of three Management Accountants, approving bank and balance sheet reconciliations and approving journals
* Ensure accurate recording and classification of income, including grants and fundraising
* Prepare VAT returns and liaise with external auditors for the year-end statutory reporting
* Support the annual budgeting and forecasting process
The role is based in Central London on a hybrid basis, and will report to a highly driven Head of Finance who is keen to drive a high-performing finance team.
The Ideal Candidate:
* Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA or CIMA)
* Significant experience working in the charity/not-for-profit sector
* Proven track record of managing a team of finance professionals
* Strong technical accounting skills, including consolidations and VAT
* Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities
* Experience in the adoption/children's services sector is desirable but not essential
