Are you passionate about social media? The Ice Co are looking to recruit a full-time, maternity leave cover Brand & Communications Assistant to join their small marketing team based in South Kirkby, West Yorkshire. The Ice Co is the UK's No1 Ice Brand with a team who have a passion for all things ice.
The right candidate should bring creativity, enthusiasm and flair to the team. Creating content for our social media platforms is a key part of the role, therefore the candidate must be passionate and active on social media.
This role is a temporary 13-month contract, maternity leave cover. Ideally beginning in April 2026 and ending in April 2027. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone looking to gain marketing experience in a fast-paced FMCG environment.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
* To create, plan and post social media content on a regular basis, which inspire and engage a new audience of followers.
* To be up to date with the latest in social media, food and drink trends, including drinks recipes, mixologists, influencers and hotspots
* Manage and monitor social media channels, interacting with our audiences via comments, direct messages, reposting etc.
* To bring a creative flair to the team along with an array of fresh ideas.
* To assist with identifying and building relationships and partnerships with those that would work well with the brand, including influencers, industry professionals and brands.
* To maintain strong relationships with our suppliers, such as printers, designers, photographers and videographers.
* To assist with creating internal staff communication newsletters, posters and updating our digital signage with key company messages.
* Join the Events Committee, assisting with organising company events.
* To assist with booking and sending parcels with our courier partner.
* To respond to general brand & communications requests.
* Build and maintain strong relationships with our suppliers such as agencies, printers, designers, photographers and videographers.
* Copywriting for the website, press and company literature.
* Occasional travel to conferences, activations and events.
* Presenting brand and communication updates in monthly catch ups with the wider team
* To have passion and enthusiasm of all things ice and embrace our strong company culture.
* To be an ambassador for the company, culture and values.
