* Lead synthetic research projects; design new synthetic routes, improve existing routes, conduct syntheses, troubleshoot and optimize problem steps, participate in technical customer calls primarily around Custom Synthesis
* Provide technical support to the Chemistry Team to ensure successful scale-up and optimization of existing procedures as required
* Provide technical support during the manufacture of contract products : catalogue products as required
* Prepare technical evaluations of custom synthesis requests
* Support costing of Custom Synthesis for use by the Commercial Team to prepare quotations
* Support the development of new products within the company
* Review, optimize and define manufacturing instructions for impure/low-yielding processes
* Contribute to the preparation of catalogue reagents, often within tight deadlines as required
* Mentor less experienced chemists
* SME on project teams with respect to synthetic organic chemistry, NAC products, oligo synthesis using these products and the analysis thereof.
* Proven track record working as part of a cross-functional team
* Demonstrated experience with development and implementation of new technologies and technical processes that improve the quality, efficiency, and/or productivity of products and/or laboratory services
* Effective communication skills with technical staff, peers, and management

Qualifications
* Ph.D. in Chemistry, Analytical Chemistry, or a closely related field
* Minimum of 8-10 years of experience in analytical chemistry or a related field
* Proven track record of leading research projects and managing teams
* Advanced knowledge of analytical chemistry techniques and instrumentation
* Expertise in chemical analysis, characterization methods, and method development
* Strong data analysis and interpretation skills
* Proficiency in laboratory information management systems (LIMS)
* Excellent problem-solving and critical thinking abilities
* In-depth knowledge of chemical industry regulations and safety standards
* Familiarity with GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices) and GLP (Good Laboratory Practices)
* Experience with quality control and assurance protocols
* Strong leadership and communication skills
* Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, collaborative environment
* Relevant industry certifications (e.g., American Chemical Society certification) are preferred
