MOT Technician & Tester

Salary: £32,000 - £38,000 (competitive, depending on experience)

About the Role
We are seeking a skilled and reliable MOT Technician & Tester to join our workshop in the Shaftesbury area. In this role, you will carry out MOT tests, vehicle inspections, servicing, and mechanical repairs to ensure vehicles meet required safety and compliance standards. You will play an essential part in providing a high-quality service to our customers by delivering accurate diagnostics and first-time fixes.
Key Responsibilities
Conduct Class 4 MOT tests in accordance with DVSA standards
Perform vehicle servicing, maintenance, and mechanical repairs
Diagnose faults and recommend effective repair solutions
Complete all work efficiently and to a high standard, ensuring compliance with workshop and safety procedures
Accurately record work completed and communicate clearly with the service team
Maintain a clean, safe, and organised working environment
Provide excellent customer service when interacting with vehicle owners
Requirements
Valid MOT Tester licence (Class 4)
Level 3 qualification in Light Vehicle Maintenance (or equivalent)
Proven experience as a Vehicle Technician
Strong diagnostic and problem-solving abilities
Full UK driving licence
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
A positive attitude and commitment to high-quality workmanship
