Milton Keynes College Prison Services Team at HMP Swaleside seeks candidates for flexible, ad-hoc hours, interested in administrative roles within Prison Education.
We need individuals with administration experience to support curriculum delivery. Flexibility is essential due to the variable nature of the role, which may include short notice, short-term, or long-term cover.

ABOUT HMP SWALESIDE
HMP Swaleside is a Category B prison with approximately 950 adult male sentenced offenders, located on the Isle of Sheppey, Kent. It is part of a prison cluster near Elmley Nature Reserve. The education department is a welcoming space, akin to a college within a prison.
The focus is on reducing reoffending through accredited programmes, vocational training, and education, including courses in Maths, English, IT, ESOL, Art, Music, and more. Learners are encouraged to participate in wider projects like the Koestler Awards, showcasing their talents publicly.
Education hours are Monday to Thursday from 9:00 am to 11:30 am and 2:00 pm to 4:30 pm, and Fridays from 9:00 am to 11:30 am. Staff work on-site from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm (Mon-Thu) and 8:00 am to 12:30 pm (Fri). Class sizes are typically 8-12 learners. The prison is accessible by car with free staff parking.
