Salary: £68,500 - 80,000 per year Requirements: We have strong technical experience in cybersecurity, preferably in a hybrid AWS and on-prem environment. We have experience deploying and supporting security solutions such as NGFW, NGAV, SIEM, UEBA, vulnerability scanners, and patch management tools. We have experience with vulnerability management and patch management. We have experience designing and securing cloud architectures. We can work effectively in an environment with changing priorities and competing demands. We have strong planning and organisational skills. We can clearly document processes and procedures for others to follow. We have experience with Linux; our environment is predominantly Linux. We have experience delivering security solutions in containerised environments. We have experience with Ansible, SALT, Terraform, and tools such as GitLab, Confluence, and Jira in a DevOps environment. We hold or are working toward security certifications such as CISM or CISSP, which are highly desirable. We have knowledge of Cyber Essentials Plus, ISO27001, and/or the NIST Security Framework. We hold a degree in computer science, software engineering, or equivalent experience, which is desirable. Responsibilities: We act as the technical lead for Information Security across Genomics England. We design, develop, and implement security solutions to reduce cyber risk in line with our risk management framework. We own and evolve the cyber security solutions used across our organisation. We respond quickly and efficiently to security incidents when required. We support the Head of Information Security in delivering our Cyber Security Strategy and Roadmap. We serve as the lead technical security engineering and architecture resource for both cyber security projects and business-as-usual activities. We manage the security solutions we use to protect data and services. We shape how security is designed, built, and operated across a high-trust, data-driven environment.
