About the Role
As a Senior Quantity Surveyor, your core responsibilities will include:
Preparing interim applications for payment and managing final accounts.
Overseeing contract administration, including cost control, pricing variations, and dispute resolution.
Managing subcontractor procurement, certifying payments, and agreeing subcontract terms.
Issuing early warning notices for changes impacting cost or time.
Conducting site visits, attending client meetings, and maintaining strong stakeholder relationships.
Ensuring compliance with company policies and industry regulations to protect both business and employees.
Collaborating with internal teams to ensure projects are delivered to cost, time, and quality standards.
Candidate Requirements
We are looking for candidates who:
Have extensive experience in quantity surveying, ideally within railway construction or related sectors.
Possess strong knowledge of contract administration, including NEC, JCT, or other standard forms of contracts.
Are adept at reading and interpreting complex structural and architectural drawings.
Have excellent communication skills and the ability to build and maintain strong working relationships.
Are proactive, self-motivated, and able to work independently with minimal direction.
Always act in a safe, ethical, and professional manner, representing Forte Engineering with integrity.
