The successful Reception Teacher will be invited to planning and handover meetings before the January 2026 start, will attend a full induction in January 2026, and will be in class from January 2026 as the Reception Teacher. Reception Teacher — Responsibilities • As Reception Teacher you will design and deliver language-rich continuous provision and adult-led phonics sessions; the Reception Teacher will ensure a balance of child-initiated play and focused teaching. • The Reception Teacher will conduct observation-led assessment, track progress toward the Early Learning Goals and design focused next steps. The Reception Teacher will also lead transition activities into Year 1 and run family workshops. • The Reception Teacher will prepare environments and resources before January 2026, attend induction in January 2026 and teach from January 2026 as a Part-Time Reception Teacher. Reception Teacher — Requirements • QTS or EYTS and demonstrable early years experience expected of the Reception Teacher. • A reflective, empathetic Reception Teacher who can model high-quality interactions and build strong parental partnerships. • Available for pre-term planning, induction and a Part-Time timetable commencing January 2026 as the Reception Teacher.
