Job Description
Role purpose: To work collaboratively with the EMEA CDIT Practice Group Leaders (PGLs) and Business Managers (BMs) to accelerate practice group and individual lawyer performance and development, aligned with the strategic direction, vision, and values of EMEA. To assist the PGLs and BMs with any people issues. To work closely with the EMEA Director of Talent Management and other Practice Group Talent Management Business Partners for EMEA, providing high-quality business partnering support to lawyers in the EMEA CDIT Practice Group (the PG). This is a highly collaborative, hands-on role requiring proactive and reliable advice and service.
Main responsibilities include:
1. Operate as a Business Partner for designated PGLs and BMs to understand their strategic needs related to their people.
2. Coordinate with office-based Talent Management and Recruitment business partners to deliver engagement plans, team planning, recruitment, mobility, talent reviews, performance management, career development, organizational development, and integration support.
3. Support and coordinate the EMEA Talent Review process and work with PGLs on solutions for talent development.
4. Assist with performance management processes and evaluate results with PGLs.
5. Coordinate nomination for EMEA programs, assess training needs, and provide coaching as needed.
6. Follow up on surveys and focus on improving engagement.
7. Facilitate the integration of lateral partners in EMEA.
8. Provide HR advisory support to PGLs on people-related issues.
9. Partner with leadership teams to develop People strategies and resources for EMEA.
Travel requirements: Occasional travel may be required.
About the team
The Firm's People function includes Talent Management, Recruitment & Mobility, Inclusion, Diversity & Equity, Leadership & Learning, Partnership & Performance, D&I Analytics. You will report to the Director of Talent Management, EMEA, with no direct reports. Key relationships include Practice Group Leaders, Business Managers, and internal HR teams.
Candidate profile
Technical skills, qualifications, and experience: Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Psychology, Organizational Development, Management, or related; extensive HR/Talent Management experience, preferably in professional services; experience across multiple locations; excellent communication skills in English; proven problem-solving and stakeholder management skills; strong coaching and business acumen.
Personal qualities: Knowledgeable, agile, dedicated, hardworking, composed, and capable of building relationships. Demonstrates integrity, professionalism, and respect for others. Committed to diversity and inclusion.
