Van Driver (UCO) £26,004.00 per annum Average 40 hours per week Monday to Friday Bridlington YO15 We are currently seeking a dedicated and responsible a Van Driver to join our Bridlington team. The primary responsibility of this role for 3 day a week is to collect used cooking oil from various commercial establishments and transport it to our facility safely and efficiently. For 2 days a week this role would also involve delivering goods to an established and loyal customer base within the Bridlington distribution area. The Position: As a UCO Van Driver/Van Driver you will be involved in a multitude of tasks which will include, but are not limited to: To ensure that all allocated collections are completed on a daily basis. To take an active part in developing and promoting the customer base receiving collections and meet any targets set by the Company in regard to expanding the collection service. To ensure that the vehicle is roadworthy and that the load is secure at all times. To ensure that all relevant paperwork for each collection is actioned/completed in line with the Company procedure, instructions and meets legal requirements. To ensure that all monies collected from or paid to customers are handled in line with the Company procedure. To actively develop working relationships with the customer base and provide the highest levels of customer service. To ensure that all payments are cashed in and reconciled at the end of each day in line with Company procedure. To ensure that all procedures ie: Heath & Safety, vehicle security and requirement under the Ministry of Transport Operators Licence are adhered to at all times. To maintain the vehicle cleanliness at the standard required to meet the Company audit procedures. To report any defects or concerns relating to the vehicle to the Operations Manager immediately. To communicate to the Operations Manager any queries or problems relative to customers. Provide, as required, relief cover for drivers or warehouse persons and cover other deliveries as requested. Any other general duties required within the grading of this position. The Person A full clean Driving Licence is essential Previous experience as a van or truck driver is preferred. Responsible, dependable, and punctual. Ability to lift and move heavy containers of used cooking oil. A commitment to safety and environmental responsibility. Ability to work independently and responsibly.
