Technical Project Engineer – Gas & LNG
Location: London (with international travel)

About the Role
We are seeking a Technical Project Engineer – Gas & LNG to join our growing Technical Division and support the development and execution of energy projects across the gas, LNG, and wider energy transition sectors.
This role offers the opportunity to work on a diverse portfolio of projects including LNG infrastructure (FSRU, FLNG, LNG carriers, powerships) as well as low‑carbon, decarbonisation, and renewable energy initiatives. You will provide hands‑on technical support across project development, execution, and stakeholder engagement, working closely with commercial teams, partners, and international offices.
This position is ideal for an engineer looking to build broad exposure across project development, technical evaluation, and commercial support within a global energy business.
Key Responsibilities
Project Development & Technical Support
* Provide technical input to support business development opportunities across gas, LNG, and energy projects.
* Support front‑end engineering assessments, feasibility studies, and site surveys.
* Assist with project execution activities including technical reviews, plan approvals, supervision, and commissioning support.
* Evaluate EPC contractors, shipyards, equipment vendors, and service providers from a technical, operational, and commercial perspective.
Project & Budget Coordination
* Support the administration of project budgets and coordination of internal technical activities.
* Assist with internal approval processes, liaising between technical, commercial, and management teams.
* Contribute to the development of operational concepts in collaboration with O&M providers.
Commercial & Tender Support
* Prepare technical inputs for tenders, proposals, presentations, and marketing materials.
* Support contract and scope discussions with clients, authorities, and stakeholders, ensuring compliance with safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements.
Stakeholder Engagement & Collaboration
* Build and maintain effective working relationships with clients, partners, and industry stakeholders.
* Collaborate with head office and international subsidiaries to align technical and commercial strategies.
* Represent the company at industry conferences, seminars, and technical meetings.
* Travel internationally as required to support projects and business development activities.
About You
Essential Qualifications & Experience
* Engineering degree in Naval, Offshore, Mechanical, Process, or a related discipline.
* Approximately 5+ years’ experience in the energy sector (gas, LNG, oil & gas, marine, renewables, or offshore infrastructure).
* Experience working within multi‑disciplinary project teams.
* Exposure to technical and/or commercial tender processes.
* Experience engaging with stakeholders such as EPC contractors, shipyards, equipment suppliers, classification societies, and operators.
* Strong communication skills with the ability to work across cultures and international teams.
* Fluent in English and comfortable using MS Office and project management tools.
Desirable Experience
* Exposure to LNG projects (FSRU, FLNG, LNG terminals, LNG carriers).
* Experience on offshore EPC or EPCI projects.
* Knowledge of contract management and contractor coordination.
* Experience supporting project execution, commissioning, or asset operations.
