The Opportunity An owner managed business, specialising inagricultural and solar civil workarelooking for a skilled and commercially minded Finance Manager to join theirteam in a flexible, part-time role. Youll work closely with the Directors, taking ownership of the finance function and providing valuable insight to support business performance and decision-making.
This is a broad, hands-on Finance Manager role where youll oversee the day-to-day financial operations while also contributing to strategic planning.
Preparation of monthly management accounts with clear variance analysis and commentary
Ownership of the month-end process (accruals, prepayments, reconciliations)
Budgeting, forecasting, and performance reporting
Cashflow management, including bank reconciliations and payment planning
Credit control oversight and ledger management
Payroll coordination and statutory compliance (VAT, PAYE, pensions)
Management of company insurances and risk
Supporting Directors with financial insights, planning, and decision-making
ACA / ACCA / CIMA qualification (or part-qualified / QBE with strong experience)
Proven experience in a Finance Manager or Management Accountant role
Strong experience with month-end, budgeting, and financial reporting
Strong communication skills and the ability to explain financial information clearly
