Job Description
You will work collaboratively with the projects team, acting as a subject matter expert for HSEQ compliance, offering guidance, coaching and oversight of documentation, processes and safe systems of work.
Typical projects include building refurbishments, lift replacements, new control systems, structural works, and decorative/mechanical upgrades.
Key Responsibilities
1. Provide competent HSEQ advice, coaching and mentoring to the Projects and OMAC teams
2. Maintain and monitor documentation and compliance across construction and project activities
3. Implement and support an internal audit programme and associated corrective actions
4. Promote and ensure adherence to the ISS Integrated Management System (IMS)
5. Collate, analyse and communicate HSEQ performance data
6. Support implementation of ISS Safe Choice behaviours
7. Oversee incident management processes for ISS and subcontractors
8. Conduct site visits to maintain visibility of compliance and service delivery performance
9. Collaborate closely with ISS central HSEQ functions and improve consistency of practice across the account
Professional and Personal Competencies/Qualifications
10. Experienced in construction or project compliance, ideally within FM or the built environment
11. Strong knowledge of CDM Regulations, including Contractor and Principal Designer roles
12. Background in supporting or auditing project documentation and safe systems of work
13. NEBOSH General Certificate or Construction Safety equivalent (minimum), NVQ Level 5 or above desirable
14. Internal auditor or similar quality-related qualification
15. Understanding of statutory and legislative controls across project delivery
16. Working knowledge of the Building Safety Act, temporary works compliance and environmental considerations
17. Strong communicator with confident stakeholder engagement skills
18. Ability to influence, support and guide project teams on best practice
