Spud Spot is a growing café specialising in jacket potatoes, sandwiches, and English breakfasts by day, with an exciting Indian Fusion ghost kitchen operating in the evenings for takeaway and delivery.
Role Overview:
We are recruiting Café Chefs to join our expanding team. This role covers daytime café service (jackets, sandwiches, breakfasts, coffee) and evening kitchen service (Indian Fusion dishes for takeaway).
Key Responsibilities:
* Prepare and cook jacket potatoes with hot & cold toppings.
* Make sandwiches, wraps, and light snacks.
* Cook English breakfasts and support daytime café service.
* Operate evening ghost kitchen, preparing Indian Fusion dishes (curries, masala jackets, naan wraps).
* Maintain food hygiene and allergen safety standards.
* Monitor stock, assist with ordering, and minimise waste.
* Support and train junior staff when required.
Requirements:
* Previous experience as a chef/cook in a café, restaurant, or takeaway.
* Knowledge of both hot and cold food preparation.
* Food Safety Level 2 (preferred).
* Ability to work flexible shifts (day & evening rota).
* Reliable and able to commute to WV9 5BX.
