About the opportunity
As a Dispenser working within one of our stores, you will be a key member of our pharmacy team supporting the pharmacist and healthcare professionals to ensure the safe and efficient delivery of pharmacy and healthcare services.
In the healthcare department, you will build relationships with patients by listening and understanding their needs, greeting customers, dispensing prescriptions, and providing advice to support their health decisions. This role is based in-store within the UK; remote applicants and candidates outside the UK without relevant UK qualifications and right to work will not be considered.
Key responsibilities:
1. Dispensing prescriptions safely, including ordering medicines, labelling, endorsing, and collecting prescriptions.
2. Collaborating with healthcare professionals to manage and deliver pharmacy services.
3. Providing advice to patients about medicines and referring queries to the Pharmacist.
4. Following SOPs to ensure legal and safe dispensing.
5. Keeping up with store innovations and operational procedures.
6. Supporting patients in managing their prescriptions and medicines effectively to promote adherence and reduce waste.
You will work with new systems to improve dispensing processes and enhance patient safety, with ongoing training and development opportunities, including training as a Pharmacy Technician or in store leadership.
What you’ll need to have:
* Completed the Pharmacy Advisor NVQ2 (or equivalent) or currently working towards and completed the first year of an MPharm qualification.
* Current and valid UK right to work; this role is not eligible for sponsorship.
