Overview

Ai Video Production Assistant Trainee role at TechNative Digital. This is a 12-week Bootcamp & Freelance Opportunity to train with Duncan Thomsen, award-winning filmmaker, AI artist and creative director, with the opportunity to progress to paid client work as part of the AI Video Production Bootcamp delivered by TechNative Digital. The Bootcamp runs 17 September – 9 December 2025; Freelance work starts January 2026 (post-Bootcamp). The role is Hybrid (Online + Brighton meetups).

Deadline to apply: Friday 29th August 9am — places on the bootcamp are limited, so early application is advised.

What You’ll Do on the Bootcamp

* Learn to use cutting-edge AI tools for video production, editing, image generation, and post-production.
* Collaborate on real briefs for clients and in-house Academy projects.
* Assist with storyboarding, research, scripting and sourcing creative assets.
* Build your portfolio through live, project-based learning and peer feedback.

Progression & Freelance Work

* By the end of the Bootcamp, you’ll have a strong portfolio of AI-enhanced video content.
* Real experience supporting creative production from concept to delivery.
* The chance to be selected for freelance paid work with Duncan and his team starting January 2026.

Freelance Role

* Support Duncan on high-impact client projects — from shoots and edits to final delivery.
* Organise creative assets (video, audio, AI-generated visuals) for ongoing production work.
* Assist with planning, client liaison and asset management.
* Work flexibly on a freelance basis, with potential for ongoing collaboration.

Who We’re Looking For

You don’t need experience in AI video — we’ll teach you everything you need to know.

* Passionate and/or with experience in video, storytelling or digital content creation.
* Curious about the creative use of AI in production.
* Reliable, organised and confident managing multiple tasks.
* Great communicators, open to feedback and ready to grow.
* Comfortable working both independently and as part of a creative team.

Diversity & Inclusion

We believe the creative tech industry should reflect the diversity of the world we live in. We actively encourage applications from people underrepresented in tech — including women, people from ethnic minority backgrounds, disabled people, neurodivergent individuals, and those changing careers.

Even if you’re not sure you meet every role requirement, please apply — your perspective, passion, and potential matter more than a perfect CV.

Eligibility for Funded Bootcamp

* Live or work in West Sussex (required for Skills Bootcamp funding).
* Be aged 19+ and have the right to work in the UK for freelance work.
* Be able to commit to the full 12-week Bootcamp (2 days/week live online + project time).
* Be ready to move into work at the end of the bootcamp — our aim is to support all bootcampers to find paid work following the bootcamp, regardless of whether they progress into work in this role or not.
