Due to continued growth Next Generation are recruiting for a Tool Maker to work with a well-established family ran Engineering business based in Birmingham. As the Tool Maker you will be responsible for providing a high standard of machining for a business that has upheld a strong reputation with its clients across the UK.
Duties of the Tool Maker:
1. Reading engineering drawings to be able to confidently and competently manufacture tooling components
2. To conduct test runs with completed tools or dies to ensure that parts meet the specifications; make adjustments as necessary.
3. Set up and operate conventional and CNC machines
4. Be able to measure finished parts to specifications, using measuring instruments such as callipers, gauge blocks, micrometres, and dial indicators.
