We are looking for experienced administrators to join our friendly multi-disciplinary team at Crawley Hospital, Piper ward Intermediate Care Unit.
We have a post for 15 hours per week, days to be agreed, working alongside a full time ward administrator.
Please note: Due to recent changes in UK immigration and visa rules, this role may not be eligible for Skilled Worker visa sponsorship. Applicants who do not currently have the right to work in the UK may not be considered.
The main duties of the role are to provide administration and clerical support on the units, ensuring that an efficient communication system is adhered to. This includes providing solutions for routine queries/concerns about services and deciding what to refer to senior staff, as well as providing essential cover for other administrative staff as requested by the ward manager.
To be successful in this role, you will need to demonstrate good interpersonal skills and communication skills, working effectively as part of a team within a healthcare environment with patients, visitors, relatives, as well as medical, nursing, and therapy staff. You will also need to use your own initiative and ability to prioritise your work.
Key responsibilities include arranging team meetings, acting as a SystmOne champion to disseminate new functions within the system, and supporting the Ward Manager in the recruitment and retention of new staff. You will also assist the Ward Manager in reviewing office/administrative procedures and liaise with senior nursing staff regarding forthcoming staffing requirements.
