Senior Mechanical Piping Engineer – Nuclear

As Senior Piping Engineer you will lead projects to deliver piping solutions for the construction, operation and decommissioning of nuclear stations and fusion research facilities. You will be part of a diverse and inclusive team, mentor colleagues and contribute to our Nuclear & Power Division.
Responsibilities
* Lead piping teams and deliver technical solutions for complex problems.
* Produce clear technical reports, calculations and drawings.
* Review and verify technical documentation.
* Maintain regular communication with clients and stakeholders.
* Produce bids and proposals.
* Develop capability through mentoring, coaching and tool development.
Qualifications
* Relevant qualification in mechanical engineering (or equivalent).
* Senior technical practitioner with good engineering judgement.
* Substantial experience in piping and/or pressure‑vessel design and stress analysis.
* Experience in a safety‑critical, heavily regulated environment such as nuclear.
Desirable Experience
* Chartered or approaching registration with a relevant professional institute.
* Experience with design codes such as ASME BPVC Sec. III, RCC‑M, BS EN 13480, BS EN 13445.
* Awareness of UK legislation relating to piping.
* Experience delivering projects for UK nuclear licence holders.
* Understanding of commercial and client‑management principles.
