We are currently recruiting on behalf of a supportive and well-run primary school in the Normanton area for an experienced Year 6 Teacher to join their team on a full-time, long-term basis, starting as soon as possible.
This role is ideal for a confident Key Stage 2 teacher who is comfortable teaching Year 6, understands the demands of the upper KS2 curriculum, and is committed to helping pupils reach their full potential during this crucial stage of their education.
The Position
* Teaching a Year 6 class, with responsibility for planning, marking and assessment
* Preparing pupils for end-of-key-stage expectations through structured, engaging lessons
* Maintaining high standards for behaviour, learning and classroom routines
* Using assessment effectively to support progress and close gaps
* Working closely with leadership and support staff to ensure consistency and continuity
The Right Person Will Have
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification
* Recent experience teaching in KS2, with Year 6 experience essential
* Strong behaviour management and the ability to build positive relationships quickly
* A professional, calm and organised approach
* Availability to start immediately or at short notice
