Key Responsibilities
* Supervise lessons across a range of subjects in the absence of the class teacher.
* Ensure students follow the work set in accordance with school policies.
* Manage classroom behaviour effectively, promoting a positive and safe learning environment.
* Provide feedback to teachers regarding student progress and behaviour.
* Support the wider school community as required (e.g., exam invigilation, mentoring, or small group work).
Person Specification
* Essential
o Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
o Ability to manage and motivate groups of young people.
o Resilience, adaptability, and confidence in a classroom environment.
o Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
o Minimum of 5 GCSEs (or equivalent), including English and Maths.
* Desirable
o Previous experience working with young people (e.g., in education, youth work, coaching, or tutoring).
o Degree or higher-level qualification.
o Understanding of school systems and procedures.
