We are looking to hire an Electronics Engineer - Test to join our established ASIC design group. This role involves developing and executing measurement solutions to evaluate cryogenic-compatible ASICs and micromachined components. What You'll Accomplish:
1. Lead testing of integrated circuits (ICs) and micromachined assemblies.
2. Design, build, and test electronic solutions using analogue and digital circuit design skills, CAD tools, and test equipment.
3. Create performance reports for ASICs at various temperatures.
4. Document your electronics test circuits.
5. Expand your expertise across electronics engineering disciplines.
6. Collaborate with mechanical, software engineers, and physicists towards shared goals.
7. Contribute to building test systems for quantum computers.
8. Participate in project planning, risk management, and scheduling.
9. Assist in proof-of-concept and feasibility discussions.
10. Work with the IC design team to enhance practices and documentation.
11. Coordinate with suppliers for chip packaging and assembly stages.
12. Identify root causes of functional or performance deviations in the design team.
Requirements
Critical Attributes:
* Strong knowledge of electronics circuit theory, ICs, and EM field theory, including noise analysis and device testing.
* Experience with PCB schematic and layout using CAD tools, along with manufacturing and verification skills.
* Deep knowledge of ICs and integration within electronic assemblies.
Must-have Skills:
* At least 8 years of high-performance electronics design experience, including IC, digital, analog, and embedded systems.
* Proficiency in PCB design using ECAD tools like Altium.
* Experience with spectrum analyzers, oscilloscopes, VNA, and precision measurements.
* Knowledge of FPGAs and embedded software for real-time systems.
* Experience working with suppliers and contractors.
* Strong documentation discipline.
* Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
* BEng/BSc degree in Electronics Engineering or related field (minimum 2.1).
Nice-to-have Skills:
* Python programming skills.
