DescriptionSupporting documentsEmployerLocation

Brockington is a successful and popular 11–16 school with approximately 1,200 students on roll, serving the local communities of Enderby, Narborough, Huncote, Thurlaston and Croft, alongside a wider catchment. We are proud of our strong community links and the inclusive, values-driven culture that underpins our work.

At Brockington, our vision is clear: “learning to live life to the full.” As a Church of England academy, this vision shapes all aspects of school life. Our most recent SIAMS inspection recognised the strength of this ethos, judging the school to be ‘excellent’. We are committed to ensuring that every student is known, supported and challenged to achieve their very best.

This is an important stage in the school’s development. We are building on existing strengths to secure greater consistency, strengthen outcomes and ensure that all aspects of provision are aligned, coherent and impactful. Our work is focused on developing high-quality teaching, a well-sequenced and ambitious curriculum, and a culture where all students can succeed.

As part of Embrace Multi Academy Trust, we benefit from strong collaboration and support, alongside opportunities to engage in wider professional networks. This enables our staff to contribute to and benefit from both local and national developments in education. We are committed to developing our staff, creating a culture of professional trust, collaboration and continuous improvement.

We are seeking to appoint an Assistant Principal for Behaviour and Culture who will provide strategic and operational leadership to secure a calm, orderly and inclusive environment in which all students can thrive.

Grounded in the school’s vision of “learning to live life to the full”, the postholder will promote a culture of high expectations, consistency and belonging, ensuring that all students, particularly the most vulnerable, are supported to succeed.

The postholder will lead the implementation and continual refinement of the school’s behaviour systems, ensuring that they are consistently applied, understood by all staff, and demonstrably impactful.

Working as a key member of the Senior Leadership Team, the Assistant Principal will contribute to whole-school improvement, ensuring that behaviour and culture support strong attendance, excellent teaching and positive outcomes for all students.

The precise portfolio of responsibilities will be finalised following appointment, taking into account the strengths of the successful candidate and the evolving priorities of the school.

If you would like to apply for this post, please complete the application form and equal opportunities monitoring form. The closing date for applications is Friday 15 May 2026 at 9am. Interviews will take place during the week commencing Monday 18 May 2026, with successfully shortlisted candidates informed by e-mail.

Find out more about this exciting opportunity by visiting our school website or viewing the documents below.

Applications will only be accepted on the form provided and CVs or other forms of application will not be considered.
