Venture Search is currently working with an Independent Infrastructure fund seeking an experienced Director to join their Distribution team. The ideal candidate can be based anywhere across Europe.
The candidate will play a critical role in managing client projects, driving fundraising processes, and contributing to the overall growth and success of the firm.
Key Responsibilities:
* Actively identify, engage, and build relationships with institutional investors to raise capital for infrastructure funds.
* Lead all aspects of the capital raising process, including outreach, presentations, due diligence, and closing.
* Work closely with internal teams to understand the funds' investment strategies, positioning, and value proposition.
* Develop and execute a strategy to meet fundraising goals, maintaining regular communication with clients and investors.
* Build and leverage your existing network to source new opportunities and expand the firm's investor base.
Requirements:
* Proven experience in raising capital for Infrastructure funds, with a track record of successful fundraising from institutional investors and wealth LPs.
* Strong knowledge of the capital raising process and investor relations within the private markets space.
* Existing relationships with institutional investors, family offices, and wealth managers are essential.
* A deep understanding of the Infrastructure landscape is essential.
Qualifications:
* Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business, Economics, or a related field; advanced degree (MBA, CFA) is preferred.
* Minimum of 10 years of experience in Sales/Capital Raising.
* Previous experience in a Distribution or Origination role at a another GP or Placement Agent/PFG is essential (candidates who do not have this experience will not be eligible)
* Proven track record in the alternatives space.
* Exceptional project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
* Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate complex concepts clearly and persuasively.
