Position:
We are looking for a CNC Operator (Milling), conversant with Fanuc controls, who can demonstrate a clear understanding of engineering drawings and machining symbols, having the ability to:
* Set, operate and program CNC milling machines efficiently producing products to drawings and specification.
* Plan your own production schedules to produce parts as required by the Production Manager.
* Positioning parts into jigs and fixtures prior to machining
* Performs first piece dimensional inspections as well as all subsequent inspections as required by C&G quality standards.
* Set up and run new programs
* Change CNC tool offsets.
* Perform minor preventive maintenance and housekeeping responsibilities, making sure the machine is set and left in a safe condition.
* To have a positive and flexible approach to working and good engineering practice.
* To maintain and improve productivity within machine capability to ensure production deadlines are met
* Once trained, load and unload material manually or with fork lift, depending on weight and size.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
* A competent machinist either qualified to NVQ Level 3 in Engineering or has suitable relevant experience .
* Safety, quality, qccuracy, timeliness, reliability and thoroughness of work performed.
* Understands health and safety on the shop floor.
* Develops good working relationships with the other employees.
* Has a good working knowledge of the production environment and has ability to respond to change.
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: £30,000.00-£40,000.00 per year
