Care Supervisor – Extra Care
Location: Bootle
Hours: full time – 3 days in the office and 2 days as a carer.

A Day in the Life of an Extra Care Scheme Supervisor
* Support the Registered Care Manager with the day‐to‐day management and coordination of the branch to ensure efficient, profitable, and high‑standard care to all customers.
* Maintain records, produce reports, and investigate complaints by service users and employees.
* Recruit new team members and guide them through the recruitment process to grow carer numbers.
* Actively seek new business opportunities and support the commercial growth of the branch.
* Produce weekly staffing rotas.
* Keep up‑to‑date operational issues, methods, health and safety, emergency regulations, and procedures.
* Undertake out‑of‑office duties when necessary, including emergency hands‑on care, on‑call duties, attendance at social events, and emergency telephone assistance to care staff.
* Liaise with other departments, employees, key stakeholders such as commissioners and customers, and the public at large.
* Other duties as requested.
Must Haves
* Ability to work 22.5 office hours a week over 3 days plus 2 days working within the facility as a care worker on non‑office days.
* Flexibility to work within the facility as a care worker on non‑office days.
* Ability to work alternate weekends.
* Previous experience in a managerial or supervisory capacity in the care sector.
* Willing to undergo enhanced DBS clearance.
* Able to work flexibly, and extended hours where necessary.
* Able to provide hands‑on care during staff shortages.
* High level of organisational skills.
* Able to effectively supervise and delegate to staff.
* Compassionate and empathetic nature.
* Excellent communication skills.
* Reliable and punctual.
* NVQ/QCF Level 2 or 3 in Health and Social Care or Work.
* Proven ability to effectively lead, delegate and mentor staff.
* Driving licence and access to own vehicle.
* A commitment to upholding the highest standards of care.
