Job Title: Workshop Technician
Location: Hungerford
Salary: Up to £25ph DOE
Hours: Monday to Friday, 8-5pm with some overtime available
Role Overview
My client is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Workshop Technician to join their team. This role is ideal for someone with experience in agricultural or construction machinery, particularly telehandlers, and who takes pride in delivering machinery to the highest standards of presentation and readiness.
The successful candidate will be responsible for the full inspection, preparation, and presentation of machinery, ensuring all equipment is thoroughly cleaned, detailed, and ready for customer handover. You will predominantly work on-site with brand-new machinery, supporting our aftersales and delivery operations.
Key Responsibilities
* Perform detailed inspections of new machinery to ensure quality and compliance before delivery
* Clean and detail telehandlers and other equipment to a professional standard
* Carry out comprehensive preparation, including cosmetic touch ups, diagnostics and repairs
* Maintain accurate records of preparation work completed
* Work closely with workshop and delivery teams to meet customer deadlines
* Follow all health and safety procedures and maintain a clean, organised work environment
* Operate machinery as required to complete tasks (training provided if necessary)
Key Skills & Attributes
* Experience working with or around Agricultural, Construction, Plant or similar heavy machinery
* Strong attention to detail and a commitment to high standards
* Self-motivated and capable of working independently with minimal supervision
* Physically fit and able to work in a hands-on environment
