We are seeking caring, resilient, and adaptable Teaching Assistants who are committed to making a positive difference in the lives of our young people. You will be working at a specialist school for students aged 6–19 years with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and associated complex needs. The school provides day placements and a residential provision on site. They also offer a therapeutic, tailored curriculum with small class sizes, designed to support both academic and personal development. The Role As a TA, you will: Support students in the classroom, in small group settings, and on a 1:1 basis Use behaviour regulation strategies and support students in self-regulation Foster trusting relationships with students, responding with patience and understanding Work closely with the therapy team to implement communication and sensory strategies Promote students’ independence, life skills, and self-confidence Collaborate with teachers, care staff, and other professionals to achieve positive outcomes Person Specification We would love to hear from you if: You are compassionate, patient, and have a genuine passion for supporting young people with ASD You work well as part of a multidisciplinary team You are keen to learn and grow professionally You are flexible, adaptable and resilient, comfortable working across different situations and age groups Experience working in an educational or care setting is essential All applicants will require the appropriate qualifications and training for this role.
