To manage and grow existing national account sales of mutton and lamb carcasses, boxed primal cuts, and offals through strategic account management, margin-focused sales, and product cross-selling. The National Account Manager is crucial for maintaining high customer satisfaction among UK channels including food service providers, HORECA clients, and wholesalers.For the first six months the role is hybrid. A mix of working between sales and the shop floor to understand the business before you will transition into a full fledged Sales National Account Manager. Key Responsibilities:Sales and Revenue Growth:Focus on margin-enhanced sales and actively work towards growing sales volumes with each account through effective cross-selling and upselling strategies.Meet or exceed sales targets by developing a deep understanding of each customer’s business and needs.Account Management:Provide expert account management to a variety of customers, including food service entities and wholesalers, maintaining a high level of customer service and satisfaction.Negotiate terms and conditions of sales and contracts, focusing on profitability and customer retention.Collaboration and Support:Utilize the internal resources effectively, including a sales admin assistant for order processing and the transport manager for logistics.Coordinate with the dedicated credit control team for financial transactions related to accounts.Customer Engagement:Dedicate a portion of time to customer visits, maintaining and strengthening relationships.Represent the company at industry networking events and conferences to enhance business relationships and stay updated on market trends.ERP System Proficiency:Utilize the in-house ERP system for order processing, invoicing, and maintaining full traceability of products.Teamwork and Innovation:Contribute to the team with innovative sales strategies and demonstrate accountability in all transactions and interactions.Work collaboratively within the sales team and cross-functionally within the company to meet customer and company needs.Weekly department meetings to review stocks, NPD, product distribution, and pricing.Working Conditions:Role involves regular travel for customer visits, industry events, and conferences.Flexibility in work hours to accommodate client interactions and industry-related schedules.Opportunities for Advancement:Successful performance in this role provides a pathway to positions in Business Development, or International Account Management.
