Job Role: Security Officer
Working Hours: Average 54 hours per week
Shift Pattern: Week 1: Monday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday (Nights – 19:00-7:00). Week 2: Tuesday & Wednesday (Nights – 19:00-7:00) and Saturday & Sunday (Days – 7:00-19:00)
Pay: £12.71 per hour
Location: Tobacco Warehouse - Stanley Dock, Regent Road, Liverpool, Merseyside, L3 0AN
Reporting to: Operations Manager
Overview
An experienced Security Officer to join our established security team based at Tobacco Warehouse in Liverpool City Centre. The successful candidate must have a valid SIA Licence as a minimum. You will be required to provide a high level of customer service to visitors to the site, complete patrols and remain vigilant at all times.
Duties
* Protecting the client’s property, people and/or assets by providing security services in direct accordance with the sites published Assignment Instructions (AI’s) and site-specific procedures
* Preventing losses and damage by reporting irregularities; informing offenders of policy and procedures
* Preventing and escalating incidents in a timely, accurate and appropriate manner to the Control Room/ Shift Manager/Operations Manager/Emergency Services as appropriate for serious incidents
* Completing reports by recording observations, information, occurrences, and surveillance activities
* Maintaining organisation's stability and reputation by complying with legal requirements
* Contributing to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed
* Acting as a first line support to customers and visitors to site, providing a professional and friendly service
* Understanding the needs of our customer, respond accordingly to customer queries and requests and take appropriate action
* Carrying out basic cleaning duties as required to maintain a safe, clean, and presentable environment within designated areas
* Maintaining professional conduct at all times
Requirements
* Full 5-year employment checkable history
* Valid frontline SIA licence DS or SG
* Customer Service experience and confidence to handle conflict in a correct manner
* Flexible to meet the job requirements
* Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
* Smart appearance and be well-groomed
* Reliable and punctual
* High level of enthusiasm and passion
* Ability to work in a fast-moving environment
