We're recruiting for a Purchasing Assistant to join a well-established business based in Leeds. This is a fantastic opportunity to develop your career further in a fast-paced, supportive environment.
Purchasing Assistant
* Location: Leeds - LS3 (On-site)
* Salary: £28,000 per annum
* Hours: Full-time, 40 hours per week
* Holidays: 25 days plus bank holidays
* Contract Type: Permanent / Full-time
What you'll be doing:
* Raise daily purchase orders to replenish stock across multiple branches
* Monitor stock levels and adjust inventory based on demand
* Liaise with branch teams to fulfil stock requirements and resolve queries
* Set up new products and job-specific contracts on internal systems
* Maintain and update product pricing
* Resolve invoice queries in a timely and accurate manner
* Source new products and suppliers where needed
* Provide administrative support and assist with stock and sales data analysis
* Contribute to continuous improvement within the purchasing function
What we're looking for:
Essential:
* Previous experience in a purchasing or procurement role
* Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills
* Strong communication skills (written and verbal)
* Confident using Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and Outlook
* Ability to work independently and within a team
* Proactive attitude and willingness to learn
Desirable:
* Experience working with ERP systems
* Familiarity with stock control and supplier sourcing processes
