15 hours per week, to be worked Monday - Friday, 3 hours per day (times can be arranged).
This role will be based on the University campus. We are open to discussing flexible working arrangements.
Are you committed to outstanding service delivery? Can you make a positive contribution to our team? Do you have great communication skills and are comfortable with IT?
The University of Leeds is one of the top 80 universities in the world. We have a truly global community, with more than 39,000 students from 170 different countries and over 9,000 staff of 100 different nationalities. Established in 1904, we have a strong tradition of academic excellence, reflected in first-class student education and world-leading research that has a real impact globally.
The Brotherton Research Centre offers facilities for teaching, learning, research, and events, making use of unique and distinctive collections. We deliver a high-quality, customer-focused service and are responsible for safeguarding the collections for future generations, ensuring their security and preservation.
Cultural Collections & Galleries house and provide access to hundreds of thousands of rare books, manuscripts, archives, art, and objects. Many are stored in facilities separate from the library, including a large storage on the Western side of campus. Operating these stores requires a dedicated team capable of retrieving, packing/unpacking, and reshelving items promptly and carefully, involving lifting, manual handling, and working at height. Attention to detail is essential, and work is performed to standards regularly monitored.
